RESTAURANT
|
The York has a large
dining area or you can eat in the conservatory or out
on the forecourt. We have a large and varied menu, whether
it’s just a quick snack or a three-course meal,
you will find something to please everyone.
Most of our
meals are cooked to order but we always have a range of
specials, all prepared and cooked in-house from our ‘Quick
Service’ counter. To compliment your meal we have
an extensive range of wines, either house wine by the
glass or something of your choice by the bottle.
We have built up a good reputation
for our Sunday ‘Proper Job’ Carvery with a
choice of usually pork or beef.
We use all fresh vegetables
and retain that ‘Home Cooked’ appear using
local produce.
YORK
BAR
In
the main bar area you will find a wide range of Beers,
Ciders, Wines and bottled drinks including Carling, Stella
and Grolsh Lager.
Our real ales are brought in from local
breweries such as Award Winning Exmoor Ales and St. Austell
Brewery. Although a very traditional style bar, there
are all the modern facilities such as a Digital Jukebox
with a massive collection of songs, WiFi for instant
connection to the Internet, pool table and gaming machines. 
To the
rear of the bar is our sports room ...
“The
Dug Out – The Home of Live Sports” with Sky
and Setanta.
CONSERVATORY & PATIO
For those of you who just like a quick
drink and chat with friends, there are many areas to do
this in the main bar, but attached to the bar at the front
of the building is a conservatory which overlooks the
Main Street.
You can sit back and relax in any of our
leather settees and watch the world go by.
From there
you can use our WiFi facility and do some office work
or surf the net in comfort.
If it’s sunny, you can
also sit out on our forecourts tables and grab a bit of
fresh sea air or just people watch.
SMOKERS RETREAT
Now the smoking ban has hit us, many
places have kicked the smokers onto the streets or just
have no facilities available.
It’s become very hard
to accommodate smokers in comfort and be within the law,
however we do have a dedicated covered smoking area to
the rear of the main bar with infra-red heaters.
This
area has become so popular of late that we seem to get
many non-smokers out there as well.
